Custom dog portraits

A dog portrait from your own photo

One photo of your dog is enough. We compose the portrait in the style you choose, you judge it before you pay, and five working days later it hangs — printed on 308 g/m² Hahnemühle cotton paper, frame included.

Why here

A dog is not an average dog

It is your dog

Drop ears or pricked ears, a long or a short muzzle, the grey of an old dog: the portrait follows the photo, not a breed standard. Anyone who knows your dog recognises him at once.

Sixty styles, one character

From a general in uniform to a single unbroken line. Every style is built around the head you send us — the muzzle, the brows, the set of the ears.

You see it beforehand

No surprise at the door: you judge the portrait before you pay for anything. We print only after your approval, in pigment ink, with every sheet checked by hand.

The unveiling

From kitchen photo to masterpiece

On the left the photo you send us, on the right what the atelier makes of it. Slide the beam of light and judge for yourself.

The collection

Styles that flatter a dog

Six of sixty — chosen because they draw the most out of a dog’s face. The whole wall hangs further on.

What you send

The photo a dog portrait deserves

I

At eye level

Get down on your knees, or put the dog on the sofa. From above, every dog becomes a head with a small body — and that is rarely how you see him.

II

Daylight from the side

In the garden or by the window, without flash. Side light draws the texture of the coat and the gleam in the eyes; a flash turns a dark dog into a silhouette.

III

The head large, the ears whole

Come close, but keep the ears in the frame — drop ears included. A tongue is fine; a ball in the mouth less so.

The breed gallery

Every breed its own room

From Labrador to Stabyhoun: ten breeds described from the workbench, with the styles that flatter each one. Pedigree or not — every portrait is made from your own photo.

Questions about the dog portrait

For the dog who is no longer here, we keep a quieter room of our own.
